Vintage Brass Zodiac Trinket Dish

A striking vintage brass dish featuring the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac arranged in raised relief around a softly recessed center. The sculptural animal figures and radiating panels give the piece a wonderfully graphic, almost sunburst-like quality.

The aged brass has developed a rich, naturally mottled patina that highlights the raised details and gives it plenty of character. Originally associated with vintage ashtray and trinket-dish designs, it works beautifully today as a decorative catchall for jewelry, keys, or other small treasures—or simply styled as a sculptural accent on a coffee table, bookshelf, or console.
